The foggy hills in northwestern Calradia are dominated by groups of Battanian families, including the original inhabitants of a large part of the continent. Their fortress on the summit has witnessed many wars against invaders from faraway lands: first they faced the Legions of the Empire, then, recently, the rise of Sturgian and Vandal Kingdoms. . . The dominant Battanians use the bow and enjoy the attack at night and cause surprise at the exit of a forest.
Battani was inspired by the Celtic peoples of Western Europe, including Picts, Irish and Welsh from the early Middle Ages. Calradia, the world in which the action of the Rock and Blade takes place, is a universe of "low imagination" that makes us aware of the intimacy of reality. He is a colorful character, no mercy, but with a very dark sense of humor. He is famous for having proclaimed, while allegedly killing all his opponents in the race to the throne. A reputable and eloquent villain can steal your herd. Often people in the kingdom experience relative peace, but live under the despotic regime, seeing members of the kings. Peanut has a strong oral tradition and enjoys freedom, but less security.
