How to open your Outlook.com account

Anyone using a Microsofty account can use the login information for an email account with Outlook.com. If you do not have a Microsoft account, it only takes a few minutes to open a new Outlook.com account. With a free Outlook.com account, you can access your email, calendar, tasks and contacts from anywhere you have an internet connection.

Steps to open your Outlook.com account

First you access account.microsoft.com

then enter the blocked Outlook.com account login

Enter the phone number to receive the SMS or call you a security code

Once you've entered the security code, start changing your password.

Your Outlook.com account has now been unlocked

If you do not yet have an outlook.com account you can create a new Outlook.com email account following the steps below

Go to the Outlook.com registration address in your computer's browser and click on Create Account at the top.

Enter your full name in the fields provided.

Enter your preferred username

Click the arrow to the right of the username field to change the domain name from default outlook.com to hotmail.com if you prefer Hotmail addresses.

Enter and re-enter the password

Enter the date of birth and make an optional gender selection if you want to include this information.

Enter the phone number and alternate email address that Microsoft uses to keep your account secure.

Enter CAPTCHA.

Click Create Account.
